Troopers Honored by MADD For Impaired Driving Enforcement

Nebraska State Patrol

May 19, 2026 (Lincoln, Neb.) — Eighteen Nebraska State Troopers and Crime Lab personnel have been recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for their efforts to enforce and prevent impaired driving in Nebraska. The team received the MADD Heroes Award in multiple categories of focus.

“The mission of preventing impaired driving and removing drunk drivers from the road is critical to roadway safety in Nebraska and beyond,” said Colonel Bryan Waugh, Superintendent of the Nebraska State Patrol. “From our troopers patrolling the road, to our troopers providing education to young drivers, to our scientists at the Crime Lab working to test evidence in criminal cases, our team remains dedicated to maintaining safe roads across the state. Thank you to MADD for their work in this mission and for recognizing the efforts of our NSP personnel across Nebraska.”
