Severe Weather Possible

Key Message #1: Today/Friday - A Slight risk of severe weather covers an eastern portion of the area (locations east of a line from Columbus to Aurora in Nebraska and down to Osborne in Kansas) . The best potential for storms this evening and tonight will be for locations east of Hwy-281. The primary hazards include large hail up to the size of ping pong balls with damaging thunderstorm wind gust up to near 60 MPH. 

Key Message #2: Saturday - A Slight risk of severe weather covers all of south central Nebraska and far northern portions of central Kansas. A widespread cluster of storms in mixed stages of intensity will pass through a majority of the area mainly after 7PM. The primary hazards include large hail up to the size of golf balls with damaging thunderstorm wind gust up to near 70 MPH. An isolated tornado or two can't be ruled out.

Key Message #3: Sunday/Monday - Though there is some more uncertainty regarding the timing/location of storms, the potential for severe weather will return for Sunday and Monday. The primary hazards include large hail up to the size of golf balls with damaging thunderstorm wind gust up to near 70 MPH. An isolated tornado or two can't be ruled out.
