August 24, 2026 (Lincoln, Neb.) – Daniel Losinger #59382, age 74, died yesterday at the Reception and Treatment Center.
Losinger’s sentence began on October 27, 2003. He was serving a 60 year to life sentence out of Lincoln County for second degree murder and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
While the cause of death has not yet been determined, Losinger was being treated for a medical condition. As is the case whenever an inmate dies in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS), a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
