No. 1 Nebraska recorded a 25-13, 25-20, 25-15 sweep of Maryland in front of a record-breaking crowd of 15,127 fans at the XFINITY Center on Saturday night in College Park, Md.

Since 2023, Nebraska volleyball has been part of 25 women’s volleyball venue attendance records, including five this season.

Nebraska (15-0, 4-0 Big Ten) extended its regular-season match win streak to 46 after hitting .278 as a team and holding Maryland (11-4, 1-3 Big Ten) to a .117 hitting percentage on Saturday night.

The Huskers also improved their win streak in road and neutral-site matches to 22 matches, which is tied for 12th all-time in NCAA history and the longest nationally since 2011.

Andi Jackson led Nebraska with an all-around performance, totaling 12 kills on .455 hitting with six service aces, five blocks and four digs. Jackson tied a rally-scoring era program record with six aces in a three-set match, tying Annika Albrecht (2015), Michelle Lynch (2004) and Anna Schrad (2002).

Teraya Sigler tallied eight kills on .429 hitting and added three digs and two aces, followed by Ryan Hunter and Harper Murray with six kills apiece.

Campbell Flynn recorded 35 assists, eight digs, four blocks and a pair of kills, while Olivia Mauch had a team-high 10 digs on the night.

Nebraska had a dominant 32-23 edge in kills, 34-31 advantage in digs and a commanding 8-3 margin in blocks over the Terrapins.

Set 1: Nebraska cruised to a 25-13 win in the opening set, totaling 13 kills against just three attack errors and holding the Terrapins to eight kills and six errors. The two teams swapped points early after consecutive Maryland kills had the Terrapins up 6-5. The Huskers responded with a 6-0 run with Jackson on the service line, highlighted by a pair of kills from Manaia Ogbechie and a kill by Sigler. Laney Choboy capped off four straight NU points with an ace to enlarge the lead to 20-10 before a kill and an ace by Jackson gave the Huskers set point at 24-12. Maryland fought off one set point, while an error from the Terrapins clinched Nebraska’s 25-13 victory.

Set 2: The Huskers rallied from an early deficit to post a 25-20 victory in the second frame, closing on a 13-6 run after Maryland held a 14-12 lead. Sigler’s ace concluded a 4-0 rally that gave the Big Red a 16-14 advantage. The Terrapins answered with back-to-back points to even the set at 16, while the Huskers fought back with a 7-0 scoreless run to take a commanding 23-16 lead. Maryland climbed back within four until Jackson’s kill led the Big Red to set point. Following kill from the Terrapins, Jackson terminated her eighth kill of the night to conclude NU’s 25-20 win in the set.

Set 3: Nebraska shook off a 4-0 deficit to clinch the sweep with a 25-15 win in the third set while holding Maryland to just three kills. The Terrapins led 7-5 until six straight points from the Huskers, highlighted by three aces and a kill from Jackson, had Nebraska ahead 11-7. Back-to-back kills from Kenna Cogill and Jackson led NU to a 17-11 lead, and consecutive points from a Jackson kill and Sigler’s ace made it 20-14. Gabby DiVita subbed in for Sigler and the Big Red rattled off four straight points before Skyler Pierce closed the match with her third kill of the night.

No. 1 Nebraska returns to action with a trip to No. 15 Indiana on Thursday, Oct. 8. First serve between the Huskers and Hoosiers is set for 5:30 p.m. CT on BTN in Bloomington, Ind.
