Nebraska vs. New Mexico
• Thursday’s meeting between the Huskers and Lobos is the ninth all-time meeting between the two programs, as the Big Red lead the series with a 6-2 advantage.
• Nebraska has recorded six consecutive wins against New Mexico, including a 3-1 win in their most recent meeting in 2018.
Nebraska vs. Baylor
• Through 32 all-time meetings, Nebraska holds an unbeaten 32-0 lead in the series against Baylor.
• In their last meeting, Nebraska swept Baylor in the 2021 season.
Nebraska vs. Georgia Tech
• Saturday’s matchup against the Yellow Jackets is Nebraska’s fourth all-time meeting against Georgia Tech.
• The Huskers have a 2-1 lead in the all-time series after a sweep of the Yellow Jackets in the NCAA Regional Semifinal in 2023.
Huskers at No. 1 in Latest AVCA Poll
• The Nebraska volleyball team was ranked No. 1 in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll released on Sept. 7.
• The Huskers collected 1,565 points in the poll and came in ahead of No. 2 Pitt (1,519), No. 3 Kentucky (1,417), No. 4 Stanford (1,399) and No. 5 Louisville (1,308). Nebraska got 54 first-place votes, followed by Pitt with the remaining nine.
• It marks Nebraska’s 126th week all-time at No. 1 in the AVCA Coaches Poll, the most of any program in the nation.
Block Party for the Big Red
• Through four matches, Nebraska sits fourth in the country with an average of 3.38 blocks per set.
• Three Huskers have recorded 10 or blocks this season - Manaia Ogbechie (15), Teraya Sigler (12), and Andi Jackson (12).
• Ogbechie is averaging 1.50 blocks per set to lead the team and ranks 26th nationally and third in the Big Ten. Jackson (1.33) ranks seventh and Sigler (1.20) ranks 10th in the Big Ten, respectively.
• Despite playing in just 12 sets, NU has recorded 10 or more blocks in all four matches.
NU’s Race to the Red Zone
• Nebraska is 108-0 in sets under head coach Dani Busboom Kelly when reaching the red zone (20 points) first.
• The Huskers are 12-0 when reaching the red zone first in 2026 after posting a 96-0 mark last season.
Big Red on the Run
• Nebraska has recorded 12 runs of five-plus unanswered points through four matches this season, highlighted by a season-long streak of 10 in the first set against No. 2 Texas on Aug. 30.
• The Huskers have scored five consecutive points on seven occasions and have scored six straight points four times.
Home Sweet Home
• Nebraska has won 47 regular-season home matches in a row at the Devaney Center, going back to the start of the 2023 campaign.
•The Huskers had a 63-match home win streak snapped in the Regional Final against No. 6 Texas A&M. It is tied for the fifth-longest streak in NCAA history.
• The Huskers’ recent home court win streak was their longest since moving into the Devaney Center in 2013, and it’s the tied for the second-longest home court win streak in program history.
• Nebraska’s longest all-time home win streak was 90 matches from 2004-09. Nebraska also won 63 straight at home from 1999-2002.
• Penn State holds the all-time record of 94 from 2006-10.
• The Huskers went 22-0 at home in 2024, a school record for home wins in a season.
