Blachowicz Gets the Nod on Tuesday Night

• Blachowicz is 2-1 on the season and has compiled a 2.86 ERA and 37 strikeouts in 28.1 innings of work, while opposing hitters have posted a .206 batting average against the right-hander.
Big Red Set For Seventh Midweek Matchup
• Nebraska comes into Tuesday night's tilt at Creighton with a 6-0 record in midweek games this season.
• In the six midweek contests, the Husker offense is batting .343 at the plate with 15 doubles, a triple and four home runs while scoring 9.3 runs per game.
• The NU pitching staff has recorded a 3.46 ERA and a 3.72 strikeout-to-walk ratio while limiting opponents to a .217 batting average in the midweek games.
Big Red Match Best Start In last 18 Seasons
• Nebraska has reached at least 22 wins in the first 28 games for the seventh time since 2000, matching the Huskers' 22-6 start of the 2024 season.
• The 22 wins in the first 28 games are tied for fifth-most this century, trailing the 23 victories in 2004, 2006 and 2008 and the Big Red's 25-3 start in the 2005 campaign.
Carey Becomes NU's All-Time Doubles Leader
• Senior Dylan Carey became Nebraska's all-time leader in doubles last weekend, surpassing a record held by none other than Husker head coach Will Bolt.
• Carey broke the record with a leadoff double to begin the bottom of the seventh inning in the series finale against Indiana on Sunday, giving him his 57th career two-base hit.
•Bolt set the previous mark of 56 doubles during his playing career at Nebraska, a record that stood for more than two decades since 2002.
All Three Facets
• Nebraska is one of eight teams nationally to be ranked in the top 50 in all three facets of the game, joining Georgia, Mississippi State, Oregon, USF, Texas, UCLA and West Virginia.
• The Huskers are ranked 22nd in batting average (.317), 43rd in earned run average (4.34) and 14th in fielding percentage (.983).
Notables on the 2026 Campaign
• With wins against No. 7 Auburn and No. 16 Florida State this season, the Big Red are 8-5 against ranked opponents in the last two seasons.
• The Huskers have recorded three walk-off victories this season. Going back to the final three weeks of the regular season in 2025, the Big Red have totaled seven wins in walk-off fashion.
• Nebraska has run-ruled their opponent four times and has scored 10-plus runs nine times through 28 games this season.
• The NU pitching staff has recorded 14 strikeouts in four of the first 28 games this season, after totaling just six such performances combined in 2024 and 2025.
• With Dylan Carey and Mac Moyer leading the Big Red with 46 and 45 hits, respectively, the Huskers are one of three teams nationally with two players with at least 45 hits on the season.

Top of the Order Fueling the Husker Offense
• The leadoff spot has been one of the most consistent spots in the order for the Husker offense, posting the second-highest batting average and on-base percentage in the lineup, largely driven by Mac Moyer's .392 batting average and 31 runs scored out of the leadoff spot.
• The three and four spots have combined for six home runs and 60 RBI, slugging .495 and .563 respectively, with Case Sanderson and Dylan Carey doing the bulk of the damage as Nebraska's most dangerous hitters.
• The 1-4 spots of the NU lineup is collectively batting .337 with 34 doubles, seven home runs and 86 runs driven in this season.
Worthley Heating Up at the Plate
• Freshman Jeter Worthley has seen his offensive production begin to take shape once Big Ten play began.
• After just four hits in Nebraska's first 12 games, Worthley is 22-of-53 at the plate (.415) with four doubles, six RBI and 18 runs scored in NU's last 16 games.
Timely Two-Out Hitting for the Huskers
• The Husker offense has found success at the plate with two outs this season.
• Nebraska is batting .312 (103-for-330) and has recorded 76 of its 193 RBI with two outs.
• 14 Huskers have recorded a two-out hit through 28 games this season, including seven Huskers with at least seven hits.
