McCook MNB Seniors Loses Despite Out Hitting Holdrege

McCook MNB Seniors fell 4-3 to Holdrege on Wednesday at Holdrege despite out-hitting them six to three. Trey Tiller and Bryson Gullion each collected two hits for McCook MNB Seniors.
McCook MNB Seniors was right in it until Holdrege hit a solo home run to left field in the fifth inning.
McCook MNB Seniors were the first to get on the board in the first when Gullion hit a solo home run to left field.
Holdrege made the score 3-1 in the bottom of the second after Nick Taylor singled, scoring two runs, and Cameron Waldo grounded out, scoring one run.
McCook MNB Seniors tied the game in the top of the third thanks to a single by Tiller, and a steal of home by Miles Pollmann.
Kegan Steinke earned the win for Holdrege. The right-handed pitcher gave up six hits and three runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking one. Tripp Raile took the loss for McCook MNB Seniors. The righty went two and two-thirds innings, surrendering one run on one hit, striking out four and walking two. Pollmann opened the game for McCook MNB Seniors. The hurler gave up two hits and three runs over three and one-third innings, striking out five and walking five.
Tiller and Gullion each drove in one run for McCook MNB Seniors.
Taylor, Elijah Bergstrom, and Chance Bailey each collected one hit for Holdrege. Taylor, Bergstrom, and Waldo each drove in one run for Holdrege. Tegan Weaver led Holdrege with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. Bergstrom stole two bases. Holdrege Inspire Rehabilitation Srs were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Bailey had the most chances in the field with nine.
