McCook Mechanical Services Receives Special Congressional Recognition

MCCOOK, December 11, 2023- Mark Griffin, President of McCook Mechanical Services, recently completed the Veteran Institute Procurement (VIP) GROW Program, a comprehensive training and certification program that helps Veteran-owned businesses strengthen their ability to win government contracts and do business with both military and civilian agencies.

On December 7, 2023 McCook Mechanical Services was one of 47 businesses from 11 states, plus DC, to graduate from the Veteran Institute for Procurement (VIP) GROW Program. The Veteran owned business received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition, and is proud of this accomplishment, not only for the company, but for the community that is our home.

The first of its kind in the nation, VIP GROW is facilitated by subject matter experts from industry and government with a goal of increasing the participants’ ability to win and maintain government contracts.VIP GROW participants receive hands-on market-based instruction that helps mitigate company risk and is proven to increase annual revenue. There are over 20 topics taught, including cyber security, insurance,indirect rates, and simplified acquisitions.
