Comments from Head Coach Matt Wiemers: Successful roadtrip to Kearney, earing three hard fought duel wins. Another test against Mother Nature was provided, as players battled a brisk northern wind and wind chills in the 30's. Our singles play was again dominate sweeping all three opponents to help pick up the duel wins.
We continue having to shuffle our doubles teams this week. We returned players who missed almost a full week on the courts last week, so doubles play was a bit off. Serving hurt us throughout the day, but our ground strokes were fairly consistent.
The varsity will get one day of practice in before returning to the courts in North Platte on Thursday for the always challenging Bulldog invite.
The junior varsity got in some great match play and earned some valuable experience. Our junior varsity continues to compete well and show steady inprovement. The junior varsity returns to the courts next Monday as we host Gothenburg at 1:30.
