Comments from Head Coach Matt Wiemers:

Another tough day dealing with cooler temps and a gusty cross wind. The girls once again adjusted better to the weather conditions and earned the duel win against an athletic Gothenburg team. That was Gothenburgs first loss of the season. Coming off an extended break, it's always a concern to see where the team will be. We got off to a slow start, but I was pleased to see the girls turn things around. Elizabeth and Cassidy got down early 1-4, but settled in and stuck with the game plan. I was really pleased with our singles play. We do not spend a lot of time practicing singles, but the girls really stepped up today. We also got to celebrate a milestone achievement, as Elizabeth surpassed the 100 career varsity win total. Whata special achievement for a player to get to. Super proud of Elizabeth and all she has accomplished throughout her career.
