MCC's Tait Anderson named region’s ‘Pitcher of the Week’

McCook Community College sophomore baseball player Tait Anderson was recently honored by Region IX as its Pitcher of the Week 5. 

Against Iowa Western Community College, the 6-4 lefthander from Auckland, New Zealand put together a strong six-inning performance, allowing just four hits and two runs against one of the toughest offenses on the schedule and a team currently ranked No. 9 in the NJCAA D1 Top 25.

Anderson is 4-1 on the season with a 3.24 ERA in six games. He has struck out 40 hitters in 25 innings. Is tied for the Region IX lead in wins with four and is tied for second in strikeouts.
