MCC’s Paige Warren earns National Fastpitch honor
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – McCook Community College's Paige Warren has been named one of 75 student-athletes from 36 programs selected to the 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association NJCAA Division I All-Region team. The announcement came Monday afternoon.
Warren, the sophomore pitcher-third baseman from Victoria, British Columbia, was one of two pitchers named to the West region's second team.
She finished second in the nation with 28 pitching wins (one behind the leader) while being ranked fourth in the nation 84 runs scored and seventh with 48 stolen bases. She went 28-2 in the pitching circle and led Region IX with a 1.84 ERA with 178 strikeouts in 160 innings.
Offensively, she batted .457 with 18 doubles, five triples, 10 home runs, 50 RBIs, 86 hits (second in Region IX) 33 extra-base hits, 144 total bases, and league-best totals in runs scored and stolen bases. She had an on-base average of .526 and slugged .766.
She was named the Region IX Player of the Year. As a freshman she was named an all-Region IX infielder and named a third-team NJCAA All-American infielder.
The NFCA selected 24 players in the Midwest region, 27 players in the South region and 24 players in the West region.
The South Region's Northeast Alabama Community College and Northwest Florida State College, along with the West's McLennan Community College and Midland College led the way with five All-Region selections. McLennan and Eastern Florida State College (South) boasted an NJCAA DI-best four first-teamers. Northeast Alabama had two on the first team, while NWF and Midland each had one.
