MCC’s Landon Molloy named region’s Pitcher of the Week

McCook Community College freshman Landon Molloy has been named the Region IX pitcher of the week.

In his start March 12 at Alva, Okla. against Northwestern Oklahoma State JV, Molloy threw five shutout innings while only allowing two hits, no walks and he struck out six hitters.

Molloy, the 6-2 right-hander from Ponderosa High School in Parker, Colo., has appeared in five games this season for the Indians, starting two with a 2-1 record and two complete games. He’s pitched 14.1 innings, allowed 15 hits, walked eight and struck out 11.
