LSU Wins College World Series Claiming 2nd Title In 3 Years

(Omaha, NE) - The LSU Tigers won the College World Series on Sunday, defeating Coastal Carolina by a final score of 5-3. The Tigers (53-15) defeated the Chanticleers (56-13) in game one of the best two out of three series on Saturday night by the final score of 1-0.
Arguing balls and strikes, Coastal Carolina head coach Kevin Schnall was ejected in the first inning. Along with Schnall was first base coach Matt Schilling.
The Tigers would get 5 runs on 10 hits, and have no errors. Coastal would get 3 runs on 8 hits, and have 2 errors.
LSU wins its 8th national title. Coastal Carolina would claim runner-up for the first time after winning their first CWS title in 2016. It's also the 6th straight CWS title for the SEC.
