Huskers Meet Media, Practice in Durham
Durham, N.C. - Nebraska Coach Amy Williams and Huskers Britt Prince and Callin Hake met the media at Cameron Indoor Stadium ahead of practice Tuesday afternoon leading up to Wednesday's NCAA First Four game with Richmond.
The No. 11 seed Huskers will take on the No. 11 Spiders on Wednesday at 6 p.m. (CT) with the winner advancing to face No. 6 seed Baylor on Friday at Duke.
"(We are) just incredibly excited for this Nebraska team to be back dancing and to have the opportunity," Williams said. "I think this is a group that feels like we have not really maxed out yet, so to have another opportunity to do that on this stage in the NCAA Tournament just feels like kind of new life for this group."
Hake, a senior from Victoria, Minn., will be making her third appearance as a Husker guard in the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
"It's so special. I always talk about how little Callin remembers watching Selection Show Sunday and being, like, Maybe that could be me one day," Hake said. "To hear your name called and then just to play in NCAA games, that's what you set your eyes on in June. To be here in March and just have the opportunity present itself, it means everything that this is my senior year and how it's gone."
Prince, a first-team All-Big Ten sophomore point guard from Omaha, said she was excited to be playing for the first time inside Cameron Indoor Stadium.
"This is a super cool place to play and very historic," Prince said. It's great to have the opportunity to play here."
