The Nebraska softball team is set for a 50-game regular-season schedule in 2026, including 24 games against teams that qualified for the 2025 NCAA Tournament. The Big Red will play 16 home games, 19 true road contests and 15 neutral matchups.

The Huskers will play a 24-game Big Ten schedule in 2026, with home series against Michigan, UCLA, Rutgers and Iowa and road series at Michigan State, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Penn State.

NU will open the season at the UTSA Invitational from Feb. 6-8 in San Antonio, Texas, with matchups against Washington, UTSA and defending national champions Texas. The Huskers will face the Huskies and Longhorns twice each and the Roadrunners once.

Nebraska will then head to Clearwater, Fla., from Feb. 12-15, for the Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational, where they will meet five teams that qualified for last year’s tournament in LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, UCF and Texas Tech. Both the Vols and Red Raiders made the 2025 Women’s College World Series and TTU became the eventual runners-up. Tennessee knocked NU out of the Super Regional round to earn its WCWS berth.

The Huskers are set to play in their third straight Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic from Feb. 20-22 in Cathedral City, Calif. The Big Red will open that tournament with South Carolina and Hawaii before taking on Texas A&M, who was the No. 1 overall seed in last year’s tournament. Nebraska will close the MNCC with matchups against Seattle and California.

The Red Team will close its road tournament slate from Feb. 26-March 1 in Oklahoma. NU is set to face Oklahoma State three times and South Dakota State and Tulsa once each.

Nebraska will host its first home games of the year with a doubleheader against South Dakota State on March 5 at Bowlin Stadium and matchups against Omaha on March 7 and 8. The Huskers will then welcome Michigan from March 13-15 to open Big Ten play before heading to East Lansing, Mich., to take on Michigan State on March 20-22.

The Big Red will host UCLA from March 27-29, then will head up the interstate to take on Creighton in a midweek matchup on Tuesday, March 31 before coming back to Bowlin Stadium to host Rutgers the first weekend of April.

The Huskers hit the road for two straight away Big Ten series at Wisconsin (April 10-12) and Minnesota (April 17-19). NU will then face Omaha in Omaha, Neb.

The Red Team is set to host its final series of the season against Iowa from April 24-26 and will close the regular season at Penn State from May 1-3.
