Hamilton County Man Killed in Rollover

At 10:42 AM on 5-17-2026, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single vehicle rollover crash at County Road T and Highway 66.

Preliminary investigation found that the vehicle left the roadway and rolled, causing fatal injuries to Reginald Spence age 61 of Hordville, NE.  Spence was a passenger in the vehicle, which was driven by a 15-year-old driver.

The Hordville Fire Department, Central City Fire Department, Central City Ambulance and Aurora Ambulance responded to the scene.  Both individuals were transported to Merrick Medical Center in Central City, where Spence was pronounced deceased.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office expresses our condolences to Mr. Spence’s family.  The investigation into the circumstances of this incident remain under investigation.
