Four Submit their Names for Supreme Court Chief Justice
September 13, 2024 LINCOLN – David J. A. Bargen, Adams; PaTricia A. Freeman, Papillion; Jeffrey J. Funke and Ryan S. Post, both of Lincoln, have submitted applications for appointment as Chief Justice of the Nebraska Supreme Court.
The public hearing of the Judicial Nominating Commission will be held in the Supreme Court Courtroom in the State Capitol in Lincoln, Nebraska, beginning at 10:00 a.m. on October 4, 2024. The Commission will interview all applicants for the office at that time.
Members of the public are invited to present testimony for the commission’s consideration in one of two ways:

Oral testimony offered during the hearing: Oral testimony may be offered by attending the public hearing in the Supreme Court Courtroom of the State Capitol in Lincoln, Nebraska.
